I want to go home, though I'm already there.
Longing for it, I venture out.
For a place of I'm no longer sure,
it exists anymore.
I wish,
I could stay in my dreams, forever
"Don't be sad, Jimmy. You are going to be fine"

Insomnia
"Wake up"
As the air whispers,
Amidst the night silence, deafening by the ticking clock,
He rubs his already puffy eyes,
And the sight beyond his vision, a familiar darkness,
Filled by still movables, and emptiness,
He strives for the awakening voice,
Only to be petrified by his own shadow,
And once it is impossible to discern,
He retires again to rest,
To what he hopes, a sounding slumber.
"Wake up"
And the air whispers, again.
********
Jimmy goes to bed early, he knew it's going to be another sleepless night, and tomorrow a fool he will look in his day at his office, owning to probably what he perceives due to lack of energy and focus. So, he does the right thing, he meditates, takes in pills, and even tires himself with minor stretching before hitting the bed. When the clock strikes past 12, all we know, his ever playful pet, a ginger feline, snores hard as Jimmy's eyes are still wide open.

Time Machine
I wish I can build a time machine
For you and I to return to the condemned past
To right the wrongs
To seize the missed chances
And to reminisce on lovely memories
Even if it means to alter the future
And strangers we shall become
For all is worth, to see again
Your broad smile of unfeigned delight
And to recoup every little drop
Of your wasted tears at nights
Or maybe, I just want to return to the night when you were sitting on a stool, and I got down on one knee, scrubbed the dirt away from your foot, put on your loosen shoe, and we exchanged smiles.

Melancholia
He wakes up to another day,
To a decrepit world and in disarray,
As darkness looms,
In hope to brighten up his path,
He tried to reach, but to one deceivious torch,
As he gazes out upon crumbled ruins beneath nebulous sky,
The sound of lightning can be heard,
And precipitation on the window can be seen.
He weeps to another day,
As he fixes his bowtie, in front of a shattered mirror,
He stares into the eyes of the reflection,
And a question he asks, with no intended listener,
"What is wrong with you?"
With little effort, he puts on his age-old mask,
And he is now the impersonation of all that is lovely.

Balloon
That day we first met
I was so over the air
My crippled heart screams of joy
And it was two steps, from heaven
And, you left
My body, stranded
My heart, squeezes
And I am now two steps, from hell
You turned my heart, into a free floating balloon,
Effortlessly, triumphantly, parading in the sky
And Pammmmmm! It burst mid-way.

Wednesday
I met my long lost friend today,
Funny, it seems like yesterday we've just talked,
"How are you?"
Words I spelled out only inside my heart.
I just smiled.
But she'll be alright
Because she's still the kinda girl that I know
Strong, resilient, charming
Yes, she'll be alright
I have place to go
But I can't recall where it is
I just remember, every day of today
I have place to go
Another wasted Wednesday
I do know, but I should not
I end up staring blank for rest of the night.

Sabbatical
Like a desert traveller, lost in starry nights,
And such luck, his old compass finally gives up on him.
Much fate, I am no different,
Stuck with dead dreams, out of inspiration, heading nowhere,
I don't see reasons to lift the scribbling pencil once more.
Oh, is she going to read this? How about the others? Did she already?
Or, is she, like the old compass, already long gone?
Nevertheless Heartbroken, I bid farewell.
I tried,
Just that some nights, it is terribly hard to endure.
Why? Don't bother.
I try again.

Admonished
Do you still remember?
The scorching summer, when all scattered in the vaporising wind
With hoarseness in our voice
We both reached a path, that neither of us choose to be
Strangers we are in every way,
Still, I believe in every little words of yours
As I'm too afraid to confront my own will
Will that is often devoured by loneliness
Because
Somehow, you remind me of
The past that don't really go past
That somehow, some kind of true love
Don't belong to me
And
Somehow you remind me of
Even if I have the world
That somehow, some happiness that I yearn
Truly will never belong to me

A Familiar Place
Sometimes,
I felt I'm drifting inside a bottled boat
Aimlessly, with waves of time
Then, I found myself
In a familiar place
I try to paddle, and paddle
Away into the emptiness that lies ahead
As I lie and look at the vast sky
I recall the old times
And a comforting voice lingers around the mist
Turning my head around
Only to find I'm all by myself
Again, back to a familiar place
What’s left is just me
Pacing in rounds
